SymAura (currently published as My Symptom Tracker) ("the App") is developed and maintained by Venture Melody. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information. We take your privacy seriously — the App was designed from the ground up to keep your health data private and secure.
The short version: Your health data never leaves your device. We don't collect it, we can't see it, and we don't sell it. The App works entirely on your device with no accounts, no cloud sync, and no analytics tracking.
1. Information We Collect
Health Data (Stored Locally Only)
The App allows you to log:
- Health symptoms and severity ratings (1–5 scale)
- Mood ratings
- Notes and custom symptom types
- Entry timestamps
All health data is stored exclusively on your device. It is never transmitted to our servers or any third party (with the exception of the Pro AI Chat feature, described below).
No Personal Information
The App does not require or collect:
- Names, email addresses, or contact information
- Account credentials (no accounts are required)
- Location data
- Device identifiers for tracking purposes
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
Subscription Information
If you subscribe to SymAura Pro, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not receive or store your payment details, credit card numbers, or billing address.
We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status and entitlement lifecycle events. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and subscription status — no health data or personal identifiers are shared with RevenueCat.
2. How Your Data Is Encrypted
All health data stored on your device is encrypted using device-bound keys managed through the platform's secure storage system (Expo SecureStore). This means:
- Encryption keys are tied to your specific device and cannot be extracted
- Data is encrypted at rest on device storage
- Even if someone accesses your device's file system, the data remains encrypted
3. Biometric Authentication
The App requires biometric authentication (Face ID, Touch ID, or device passcode) on every launch. This ensures that only you can access your health data, even if someone else has physical access to your device.
4. Pro AI Chat Feature
The AI Chat feature (available with a Pro subscription) allows you to ask questions about your symptom patterns. When you use this feature:
- Anonymized symptom context (symptom names, severity levels, and dates — no personal identifiers) is sent to the OpenAI API via a secure Cloudflare Worker to generate responses
- No personal information, device identifiers, or account data is included in these requests
- Requests are transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted in transit)
- OpenAI's data retention policies apply to the API processing; refer to OpenAI's Privacy Policy for details
If you do not subscribe to Pro or do not use the AI Chat feature, no data is ever transmitted from your device.
5. Subscription Terms
SymAura Pro is available as an auto-renewable subscription:
- Pro Monthly: $4.99 per month
- Pro Annual: $34.99 per year
The following terms apply to all subscriptions:
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase
- Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
- You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your device's Account Settings after purchase
- No refunds are provided for any unused portion of a subscription period
- Any unused portion of a free trial period (if offered) is forfeited upon purchasing a subscription
Founding Member / Legacy Pricing
Users who purchased the original one-time Pro unlock are eligible for founding member pricing:
- Founding Monthly: $2.99 per month
- Founding Annual: $24.99 per year
These prices are subject to the same auto-renewal terms described above.
6. Data Deletion
You can delete all of your health data at any time from within the App:
- Navigate to Settings → Delete All Data
- This permanently removes all symptom entries, mood logs, and custom symptom types from your device
- Since data is stored only on your device, deletion is immediate and irreversible — there is no cloud backup to restore from
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
8. Third-Party Services
The App does not include any third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking services. The only external service interaction occurs through the Pro AI Chat feature, as described in Section 4.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
